If we had the room, would definitely keep at home. However, $50 a month for a secured storage space is reasonable to us.

Our city has a bylaw that allows you to store RV's on your yard from April to October. We have always obeyed that by law and put the RV in winter storage for $50/mth. It's a fenced compound with surveillance cameras, paved lot, so mice have not been a problem, and we are a given a swipe card that we can come and go as we like if we want to check up on the RV.

We store ours in a secured RV storage for $40/month on a 25' plot. Had a 45' plot for $68/month which Was storing the tv and RV together. We moved to another home and has plenty of parking so we down sized the RV space. The city district where we currently live doesn't allow you to park in your residence.

Overall, this is a perfect setup for us.
Sounds like you are set up pretty nice. What town in Iowa are you close to? I am in Carroll I wouldn't mind getting together with some fellow Frogs. I do some shooting myself. I enjoy my winters off hunting Coyotes.

We park it at the house. Next to the garage I have a fenced 1/4 acre that I put power, water and sewer in and it works out awesome!

My MH is in my yard. I can't bear the thought of having it somewhere I am not. Besides, every time I can't find something in the house I run out to the MH and there it is.

We got our house about 8 years ago and one of the things I was looking for was a corner lot because I wanted an RV when I retired. Found what I was looking for and spent the money and time to put in a detached garage with a concrete pad large enough for a small MH. If I wanted to take out the two trees in the back yard I could do a lot more but I think my Black squirrels would object.

We have a small acreage and keep ours at home. We have a 30 amp service at the side of the garage and hopefully sewer and water this summer. Happy camping.

With some minor landscaping modifications and a gate stretcher I shoe-horn our motorhome in the back yard. I just keep my eyes closed when I drive it in.

I paid for storage in two different places I lived. I don't now. In the most recent place, I had a plug in (it cost extra) so I could plug it in when weather got too cold.

Keep my TT on a farm for 40/mo. No electrical or fencing but lot is on long drive from main road. No security issues over last two years. Major ice storm here and had about 1.5 in of ice on vehicles stored on my driveway but havent checked TT on farm.

I've never heard of rental programs, but sounds interesting. We use ours at least once a month if not more all year around. We have a storage facility about 15 mins from our house, so it's convenient and only $40 a month with 24 hour access and a live on site caretaker for security.

I pay $250 a year, and the lot is about a mile from our house. It is on a farm just at the city limit, fenced, owner lives on site, and he has about 200 other units. Never had an issue with vandalism or theft, and for me it's perfect due to it's close proximity.

My father and I keep our Rv's in that 60x100 building in the background. It also houses a backhoe and tractor. This was taken from my back patio so It's just a short walk away from my house. No rental fees here, just yearly property taxes.
