How many pay for Storage

I am curious how many members of FRF store their RV's in a lot vs. have enough space to keep them at home avoiding the storage fees....

Having just paid the three month storage bill, and not using the camper due to the winter i just was curious how many folks pay like I do to find a home for the beloved RV...

In not so round numbers it will be about 17k +/- to be able to store the trailer out in front of the house for a year.

Mines in my driveway. I feel fortunate to fit the 40'er between the sidewalk and front of my garage.

Since selling my farm and moving into town it has been a storage lot event. I have repeatedly thought I could buy acreage and come out ahead but between owning a boat slip and paying for camper storage I end up with the storage lot winning. The advantage is that the lot I use has excellent security and it is close.

Have the space, but the darn HOA won't allow it. I pay $25/month for outdoor, fenced in, 24/7 access, with security cams and owners that do a daily drive through of the place, storage. Been there for six years now and not one issue.

Have the room but the HOA does not allow a camper parked at home for more than 24hrs (I never had a problem going a couple days). I was paying $50/mo for a fenced in storage lot. It was about 20-minutes from home and the camper was sitting in a field with about 20 other campers. I thankfully found an old farm at the entrance to our development (our homes are all on their former farmland) that has an empty pole building... There's about 6 campers there... Roof overhead and protection from the elements on all sides, 24hr access and electric access (limited to cleaning and cooling down the fridge)... All for $40/mo. An absolute bargain. Other storage areas with a roof goes for about $200/mo around here.

We pay $40/month for outside, fenced storage. Plenty of security cameras, 27/7 access to the lot, probably 2 dozen other RVs in there. In the almost 2 years that we've been there, there has never been an issue with security. Owners are in and out of the property several times each day.

We have the room and we don't have HOA restrictions. It's one of the perks of living outside city limits.

"Francis" resides outside our back door, just beyond the patio in the back yard, on shore power 24/7, and behind a privacy fence when she's here. We'll go get 'er Saturday from our dealer after the quickest warranty work ever imagined...one week to handle about 8 issues.

Our back yard looks strange with 'er here, and Freddie the camping dog keeps looking for her.

We've not installed a cover for her yet, but it's in the works. We've decided instead of one of those pre-fab metal type garages we're going to build one.

I've gotten way too accustomed to having kitchen stuff stocked in the RV as back up. At least 3 times I've run short on something and thought....wait, I've got some in the RV....ummm nope, RV's 90 miles away. Can't wait to get it back home!
