Just saying.
Lot of misconceptions about this. Yellowstone only has ONE campground with a permanent ban on soft-sided trailers, Fishing Bridge CG. All the other campgrounds there, allow soft-sided campers. So does West Glacier and Yosemite.

I have owned three hard side pop ups which I towed without any problems with a wrangler Just add a brake controller and a anti-sway bar. The tow rating by factory was 2000 pounds. I also towed a small travel trailer without problems. After trading up to a Rpod, I got a Jeep Unlimted which I towed all throughout the Southeast. The rating went up to 3500 pounds. Make sure you get the correct rear end ratio for towing 3:73 and I always had a manual transmission. I now have a Toyota Tacoma which increased towing capacity to 6400 pounds which I still tow the Rpod with. Stay with the ultra-kites under 3 thousand. The hard side pop ups are ok, but the comfort and convenience of the TT is nicer.

Advice on pop ups

If I were you, I’d look into either a Little Guy Max teardrop or an Alto Safari Condo. I was seriously considering both of these campers as good options. They are both light weight and can sleep 4, but are hard sided trailers. One is a pop up and the other is just a small full featured light weight hard side. No more canvas with either of them!
