Idle Money
I mean really!! Savings accounts paying 2 tenths of one percent, Money Markets paying 3 tenths of one percent, and less than 2% on a 5 year CD, why does anyone save money? I think it’s time to use the idle money to pay off the RV loan and quit paying the banks 5 % to 12% interest on their money.

Our local community bank pays 3.5% interest on our checking account. I feel blessed!

I would feel as if I'm cheating you by sending my idle money to you Nigel. If I sent you $1,000 it would only be worth 750 Euros, or just 630 British Pound Sterling. Nah, I just can’t cheat my RV friends like that.

Nice one!
But 630 GBP's would buy us some fish and chips (to go)

Now now boys. No fighting. Everyone knows Canada is a safe place to invest so you can both send your idle money to me and I will see that it gets a little action. Maybe a quick trip to the casino or something like that. Believe me with my luck it would be a very quick trip. Old Guys

Shoot yea... I've been saving money for what? I'm going to buy my first real RV trailer soon... Can't wait to go camping. I'm going to go camp at the beach, at the river, at the MX track, back yard, flying field, neighbors yard... I've got to go camping - I've got to!

You really did make me laugh out loud with that one Nigels. Thanks for that bit of financial humor. Cheers to you.

About the Greek Bonds, etc
Subject: The Greek bail out - explained
It is a slow day in a little Greek Village . The rain is beating down and the
streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody
lives on credit. On this particular day a rich German tourist is driving
through the village, stops at the local hotel and lays a e100 note on the desk, telling the hotel owner he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night.
The owner gives him some keys and, as soon as the visitor has walked upstairs, the hotelier grabs the e100 note and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher. The butcher takes the e100 note and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the e100 note and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel. The guy at the Farmers' Co-op takes the e100 note and runs to pay his drinks bill at the taverna. The publican slips the money along to the local prostitute drinking at the bar, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer him "services" on credit. The hooker then rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill to the hotel owner with the e100 note. The hotel proprietor then places the e100 note back on the counter so the rich traveller will not suspect anything. At that moment the traveller comes down the stairs, picks up the e100 note, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town. No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole village is now out of debt and looking to the future with a lot more optimism.
And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how the bailout package works.

I want to get this Work And Play toy hauler:
It fits my style of camping:
- Carries toys (dirt bikes, bicyles, R/C model airplanes)
- Minimal setup (no slide outs are ok with me)
- Extra beds in the back
Small kitchen and living area, but I tend to 'live' outside and cook and eat outside when camping. I'll run a propane outlet to the side to use for the 'outdoor kitchen'.
Haven't got the toy hauler, yet. He's asking $11K for it. It would match my black Chevy 2500HD, but I'm concerned about it being too hot in Florida's sun. Has anyone ever repainted a black trailer white?
