Insurance for stored 5th wheel ?

As opposed to driving our motorhome to a at campground in Florida during the winter we are thinking of switching over to a 5th wheel and leaving it there when we return home. Given weather extremes there ( hurricanes etc) I'm hoping to find some sort of insurance coverage against the potential loss our investment. Does anyone out there have any suggestions ( insurance companies, policy types)

My 5th wheel fully covered is less then $400 for the year.... unlike your Motor home Trailers are cheap to cover

Also if you decide to park your motor home you can get full coverage with no driving coverage... used to do it on a few autors. If I wanted to drive I just had to make a call, not all companies do it but call around.

Make absolutely sure that you have a written declaration of coverage in any policy that states that they will cover you at home as well as in storage.

In the USA, most companies want to know where you "Garage" your vehicle. If you misstate that they can refuse a claim.

If I tow my trailer it is covered by my tv's insurance. If the TT is parked at my house it is covered by my homeowners insurance. Since it's not at my residence I have to have a separate insurance policy on it.

The TT stays at a campground year-a-round in another county. I have American Family Insurance and it costs $225 a year.
