Insurance Question

Hi all, will be buying a Palamino Columbus 320RS here in about a month. Will be establishing domicile in South Dakota and purchasing RV at same time. Just wondering what are some good insurance companies that will insure both my truck and fifth wheel at reasonable rates for Full Time Living. Currently have state farm and they said no way will they insure my RV for full time. So, looking for some good reasonable suggestions. Got an online quote from GMAC and doesn't seem that reasonable.

We found AAA had the best rates for our auto, truck and RV combination. Not sure how they'd rate a full timer RV.

We have had insurance through several companies. We recently switched to a company called esurance from geico. Esurance is owned by allstate. They were the best on price for us but again we are not full timers. You may also want to have a insurance agent who reps several lines look at your situation. A few years back we consolidated all our insurance (auto, home, business, and RV) into one company and received a great discount for doing so.

Geico beat everyone's prices for us, but then my wife is a "government employee".

Is it true that Geico actually stands for Government Employee Insurance Company?

We are in the same place as you are. We will be getting our voltage toy hauler in a few weeks. We are talking with Foremost Insurance, and they will help us with full time insurance. Our house has not sold as of yet, We pray it will sell this weekend at the open house. We are to start a work camping job in South Dakota in May. Anyone want to buy a house in Swartz Creek Mi. 4 bedroom 3 baths?
