Necessities for new tt?
We finally have ok our loan approval done, should be able to take delivery in the next couple weeks. Bought a new Flagstaff 25bds. We are going to get the PI ems, and extended sewer hoses, fresh water hoses too. Leveling blocks, and cover, as well as an awning mat. We are in our 50's, so pretty well set in life with plates and such. Going to driveway camp a couple nights. What else are bare necessities that we maybe missing? Not looking to go broke on stuff, but want to be prepared. Thoughts and opinions?

You can find many checklists by searching the Internet or this forum.
Here is a good one.
RV Supplies Checklist- Fraserway RV
Wheel chocks and a tire pressure gauge are also important. I also own one of those hitch locks that fits into the ball socket.
Enjoy!

Pots and pans, silverware!, be surprised how many people for forget that. LOL
If you have any mechanical/electrical ability, get a decent electrical meter, you will need it eventually.
Make sure you have a lug wrench that fits your tires. If you aren't going to get coach net or Good Sams, a jack also for the trailer tires.
Get a box of fuses that are correct for you trailer, you will blow at least one eventually.
Get another tool box, just for the trailer and stock it up.
You will be amazed at the 'stuff" that needs a screwdriver or a socket to fix once you are on the road. LOL
A can of wd40 and a can of white lithium grease. You will need them both.
Just from the top of my head.
3 motorhomes and a pop up, a bumper pull and now on have 5th wheel.

Anderson leveler - so easy to use compared to blocks. You also need a level. Weight distribution hitch and anti sway. If your not safe pulling, forget the rest of it.

clear plastic sewer adapter, tire pressure gauge, wheel chocks, electrical adapters so you can plug into 50, 30, or 15 amp receptacles, rv insurance.
do your driveway camping and figure out what you need. use this time to make sure everything works. find a dump site to dump after your driveway adventure. some form of portable barbeque that you can set up outside will be high on your list if your are into that.
longer term you will end up getting many of the things mentioned above.
the intent is to enjoy. bottle of wine. and continue to read this forum as you will pick up many, many ideas.

One item not mentioned, yet I think it's one of the MUST haves... A TPMS. For peace of mind and family safety when traveling on the road.

There are many good list on this site to review. Some items on other people lists I still do not own and my TT is 6 1/2 years old. What you need right away will depend on your camping style and what you end up encountering. If I were traveling more I might just need some of the stuff I am currently doing without. With that said other people are in a better position to fix a problem while I will need to call on someone to help.

Lots'a stuff.
In reading through the above lists, it looks like some folks make RV life very complicated. For example, we make instant coffee rather than having a coffee maker. We skip all the barbecue stuff and only cook outdoors if the park has a fire pit.
Spare fuses, tools, basic cooking stuff: needed for sure. I also recommend an extra length of power cord and water hose for those parks with poorly placed utilities.

Whatever you think you will need will be at best 80% correct. Easiest way to approach 95% correct:
- make a list of what you are adding from the start.
- camp. Review the list after return.
- Did you use the item? Yes - keep for next trip. No - do you really think you will use it next time? No - out it comes.
- What items not on the list did you go out and buy while camping? Did they work as intended? Yes - keep and put on list; No - get rid of.
- What items not on the list did you really wish you had? Put in the camper for next trip and add to list.
Rinse, lather, repeat for about 3 trips. After refining the list for 3 trips, only an unusual trip (duration, climate, etc) is going to change your list.
just my thoughts and experiences

Fitting out an RV can take a toll on the wallet if you are not careful.
You have already been given some good recommendations.
IMO
The 'Dollar Store' is your friend.
There are some good things and not so good things at the dollar store that can be had for fitting out an RV.
Kitchen stuff is of medium quality where as the plastic pails and tubs will not last with any rough use.
Often you can find the same items in the dollar store at the big box store for more money and different labels. So check them out first.
One item I find Very useful is 'pool noodles' , again at the dollar store.
They can be cut, shaped and fitted for numerous items and places in the RV from storing items in the pantry, pot cupboard and storage areas. Buy extra... you will find them very useful.
Good luck and enjoy

Looks like most is covered, I will add a few things I've put in the camper aside from what was already said.
Hatchet
Axe
Insect repellent
Sunscreen
Wasp spray
A few boxes of matches
Fire starter sticks
Mountain pie irons
Hotdog cooking forks
Good campfire bag chairs
A couple of cheaper fishing poles
Hand crank flashlight (emergency use)

I bought my TT in 2016, and our first trip (after the shakedown) was a 5000-mile trip out to the Grand Canyon. Being a newbie then, I was blind-sided by all the things I needed to buy to be able to safely and comfortably carry out that endeavor (tpms, tools, kitchen, etc.) with a family of four. It was one of the best trips of my life. If you plan on doing something like that, better grease up the credit card. I'd say I spent another grand, at least, on outfitting the land yacht.
Since then 90% of my trips are weekends within 100 miles where I'm just relaxing beside the lake and less is definitely more. A lot of the stuff I have isn't really necessary on those shorter/simpler trips. But I'm still glad I have it all because I do use it/need it on those couple of longer trips each year. This year I'm leaving on May 26 and, except for a few days back home for various reasons, am not returning until Aug 6. Might hit 10k miles this summer. Everything I bought will come in useful on a trip like that where you need to be prepared and self-sufficient. Especially the EEztire TPMS, which I highly recommend (no affiliation).
