I am curious... You negotiated a price of $63,500, but actually paid $69,308 out-the-door? What was the extra $5808 for?

California tax and license is around 10%.

Oh... Roger that. I forget that in some places you have to pay all that at the dealer. In Missouri, we don't pay tax or license at the dealer, we have to go to the license office to do it. Usually a day or so later.

Tax and license is really high here. What is nice is that the dealer takes care of all the DMV stuff. I wish I could have negotiated their bogus PDI fee out of the deal completely, but they were extremely difficult to negotiate with. I did lose some negotiating power because they knew we drove 4.5 hours to see this RV and probably figured we didn't want to leave without a deal.

I think you could have had your local CW request it moved to the local CW then it would have saved the drive. I know some will do it for free and some would have charged a fee. Never hurts to ask.
