My loan is thru Alliant. I did mine online. Visit their website. I was just looking to see if they charged a prepayment penalty and the answer was no and it will save me a bunch of interest. You can get a preapprovement prior to shopping.

You are correct, Alliant does not have a prepayment penalty. You can pay off whenever. There are some financial institutions that do. If you want to payoff the loan early make sure you finance with someone without a penalty.

Thanks to this thread we called Alliant. Our interest rate is 4.49%. We will save a lot of money on the loan compared to the other best rate I could find, 5.99%. Thanks to this forum and all the great info on it!!!

Those are some pretty awesome rates! What is the name of your credit union? I may just have to re-finance, even though we got a pretty good rate to begin with.

any talk about interest rates better be up to date because of two prime rate hikes in the past 3-4 months, all rates are higher than they were in early December 2017 or before...

Just got 2.99% for a car at the CU. They wanted 6.99% for a new RV. Dealer rate is 5.75% for 7 years.

2.99 is a great rate! Saw your earlier pictures of your flooded rv, that was sad. Cars at my local cu are 1.74 with good credit but they never go below 8 on rv's. Rates are moving up good time to buy.

Wish it was 2.99 for the RV. That was for a new car for 5 years. The RV rate is 6.99 for 7 years.

Sorry I misread that. Alliant cu seems to be the only one that offers good rates on rv's wish the local ones would follow suit. So far dealing with them has been easy. I believe there's is up to 3.75% now.

Alliant CU

Thanks to all that suggested to use Alliant. Just applied online and was approved in less than a minute. 3.99% for 7 years. Sure beats the 5.75% that I was going with.
