newbie wants to make a cash offer. What you think?

I want to make a cash offer on this. Would a dealer really want to get rid of a new 2015 or does the year really matter. Any advice would be helpful!

Every dealer, just like every private seller, looks at things differently. If they need the room on their lot, or if they want to free up the money they have invested in the unit, they may do a good deal. Others will hold on to get a certain profit from the sale. All you can do is take a shot.

I would say for a 2015 year you would have a good shot most likely he has had this on his lot for over a year. I'm sure it boils down to what you will offer compared to what he is asking. A two year old trailer I would be wanting a deep discount compared to the new model. Do your research. Good luck.

2017's will be shipping out any day now, so yes they will want to clear out 2015's and 16's. The 15 will be anywhere from 12-24 months old. The date of manufacture is stamped on one of the outside stickers on the left front side of the unit..

Only one way to tell, you might get what you ask for. New 14,15, 16 and 17 model years are on lots yet. The 17's are on lots so it should help you in negotiation. Good luck. The model year will only matter to you if you get rid of it. Check it over carefully before completing deal

Offer 1/3 less than list price. Also, the dealer makes more money if you finance through them. In any case no matter how you pay won't make any difference once you drive it off the lot.

Go to seedealercost.com , enter your zip, and see what the prices might be.

I bought almost the same model the end of last year. I got the 2015 241QBXL. This was the second one I bought from this dealer. My last was totaled while it was parked (long story) and my wonderful dealer helped convince the insurance that it was totaled. I got a great deal on this since I had total cost replacement value insurance for a TT. The only difference is I don't have the bunks, I have a bathroom across the rear. It cost just a little more than I paid for my 21 ft lite model in 2006, about 17,000. Electric awning with lights, power hitch and leveling. I was told they had a special deal from FR for the package. There was just a couple things I will have to do mods or learn to live with. The bed didn't have lifts, I'm getting some to put in myself. The propane cover rubs against the front of the TT. Since I have problem knees, I might have to get the step changed to a double from the single supplied. And lastly the way the cabinets are set leave half the space difficult to access. There should have been doors for every space. Saying all that, I love this model. We only got to use it once last year, but hope to do a lot of traveling this year and in the future. You might bring up this points to talk a better price. Good luck
