We live in CT and bought in MA. The dealer mailed us all the paperwork, we went to the DMV and got real plates then went to the dealer with the plates to sign all the paperwork and pick it up.

Also call or email the manufacturer and ask them if the dealer is in good standing or if they could recommend a dealer. We did this when we bought from RV Direct.

I went thru the same situation buying my Columbus. I stood to my guns and refused to sign any paperwork until I went thru the unit. What if they wrecked the unit on the way to deliver it to the dealer, you could be stuck......

What they all said. Never buy a pig in a poke; and you might just be doing that if you pay up front.

An FYI on the subject. Sent off the $$$, got a check back for the taxes and paperwork to register and title the unit. All went well, when we got to the dealer the PDI went flawlessly, everything worked and three hours later we were on our way. The only thing we found wrong after we got to our first camp site was the antenna amplifier was wired incorrectly. We could receive ota broadcast but not cable. A simple fix that I took care of in about 15 minutes.

We live in Texas, picked ours up 12/30/13 in Orlando FL. because of the time of year. PDI went well, all systems work flawlessly. Spent a couple of weeks in Florida and camped in several states on the way back to Texas. Really enjoyed our experience and got to know our RV very well. Enjoy your Roo, a real nice rig.
