Questions Concerning Flagstaff 27RLWS

As many of you know we are set to do our PDI and pick up on our TT this weekend. I have been reviewing the Flagstaff Brochure and the price quote I was given at the dealer and find a couple things curious.

1. The Brochure states that a 32" TV is standard equipment for the 27RLWS, but on my price quote I have a ~500 fee for 32" TV.

2. We asked for Option Package B, and among those options is a 22" TV. We assumed that TV would be for the bedroom.

3. We asked for the Emerald Package and as part of that package we were told upgraded cabinet hardware was part of that package. Originally thought that meant handles, drawer pulls, shocks to hold cabinets open. And of course other great stuff...Based on a review of the brochure I do not see anything stated concerning upgraded hardware.

So I guess my questions are:
1. Should we expect the 32" TV as part of the 27RLWS TT withought any extra charges?
2. Should we expect the 22" TV for the bedroom?
3. Are we misunderstood concerning the cabinet hardware?

Ultimately we fully optioned our unit out and I am really not sure how I will be able to tell if we received everything we are supposed to receive. I dont think the dealership is deceitful, but it will be on us to know for sure what we should be getting. I appreciate everyones help...

Gary

Gary, good luck with your purchase.
After several new camper purchases you'll learn not to trust the forest river brochures.
They are more of a guide then gospel.
Fr will and does change specs after brochures are printed.
Your best bet is to talk with your dealer and get in writing what specifically you want ordered or not ordered.

many so-called "options" are actually standard items, in the RV industry.
all with come standard with these "options' unless you specifically order a stripped-down version from the factory.

things like an oven, water filter, a/c, microwave, awning are examples of this.

As for as the TV goes...if you buy one from the lot, it will most likely come with TV every time. But, you can order one without the TV.

I have the Rockwood twin with emerald pkg; it is 1 tv a 30"; that is the upgrade the convenience pkg gives you; emerald edition is black frameless windows, slam latch baggage doors, the cabinet hardware is fancier trim on the top of slides

yep, the Rockwood version would be way more popular, since the number of Rockwood dealers is far higher than Flagstaff dealers.

If you go to youtube and search for 27rlws you will find several walk thru videos where you can see the size/placement/etc of TV; the trim, countertops etc
Also go to the forest river flagstaff website for pics and description of emerald pkg..

We went and viewed our unit yesterday and it was everything we had hoped for. Unit came exactly as we ordered. I was worried for nothing. We did not pick it up due to a storm coming our way. Will bring her home in a a few weeks when the weather subsides.

Thanks for every ones replies...

Flagstaff 27RLWS

We bought our 2014 27RLWS in July of last year, and have spent 10 nights in it touring Montana and South Dakota. We are now waiting for spring, and are leaving for the ALCAN Highway in May. We really like the unit, and haven't had any problems with it. We are using a 2009 Chevy Suburban LT , with 5.3 L engine and it pulls it very well. I did add another transmission cooler, though. We are getting about 8 to 9MPG, which is OK for us. We have a lot of hills in eastern MT. I hope you enjoy it as much as we are.

Great to hear you love your unit. Also nice to hear about someone else using an SUV to tow a unit like this. I was starting to think most people used pick up trucks. Absolutely love SD and ultimately that is what pushed our interest into buying an RV. We took a big trip out there last year and talked about how nice it would have been to camp. We are all in...

We spent a week in Hill City, SD at the Horse Thief RV park. It is well located
for all the things to do in the Black Hills. Next, we traveled to Sundance, WY to see the area around Devils Tower. I liked the scenic country there. We also liked staying at the Mountain View RV park; nice clean place. Sundance is a nice place to visit.

Great to hear. We stayed at a horse ranch near Hill City. It was great...Nice cabin nestled between to mountain regions. Horses ran each day at ~5-6 and the kids loved watching that. When we go back we will consider this place as they allow travel trailers there as well as have cabins and tents. BTW when I lived in that area I thought I had found heaven; and when winter came around Hell... I suggest everyone go there to visit...
