Ready to purchase a new 2306!!
First off let me say that I am a long time reader/troller, but first time poster. My wife, 15mo baby girl and myself are ready to purchase a new rockwood 2306. I live in southern Louisiana, and am being quoted $17,500 for the trailer with an equal-i-zer brand hitch installed. Options included in this price are:
Power Awning
Power Tongue Jack
Raised Panel Fridge
Murphy Bed
Aluminum Wheels
Convenience Package A
Big Grab Handle
Is this a fair price for my part of the country, or is this a little steep? Seems a little steep to me. Thanks for any help you guys/gals can give me.

Do a google search for a Rockwood 2306 and you should find some prices from dealers. RV wholesalers had one for $14,700 a while back. I don't remember what options it had. I would definitely get the murphy, it gives a lot of extra room when the bed is up. We have a murphy bed in our 2304s and love it. The bed folds up and down very easy.

We have looked in several of them and the murhpy bed is an absolute must. I have a quote from rvdirect for 15000 without the hitch. I just dont know if or how much geography affect the cost of the trailer.

By the time you ship or pick up from the wholesaler, you'll probably be about the same price. My 2104S loaded was about $18,400 here in south Texas and that seemed to be about the going rate around the Houston area..at least I couldn't find a better price. I've got a few more options than the one you're looking at with a similar MSRP, so I believe that would just about be in line with what you were quoted. Not a great deal, but a fair deal.

I'd take the trailer and hitch deal.
If you are good with that price then so am I......

Thats the thing, not really sure I'm good with that price. I have read on here so many people all over the country getting the same unit for less. This will be our first unit and I want to make sure the price is right.

Would you use ten buck worth of gas to drive across town to save five bucks on a motel room?

Nope, but I'd drive 45 minutes down the road to save 1500 bucks on the camper. But if thats the going rate around here, then it is what it is.

I ordered my 2306 with roughly the same options a couple weeks ago. A tad over 18k is what Im spending. I am in Oregon and it has to come a long way to get here. The dealer also said priced JUST went up! Oboy! I did a lot of research and decided on this TT mainly since it is the best choice for my TV a 2001 Toyota Tundra 4.8l with 65k on it. Just broken in and dont want to buy new. We have 2 g-kids we are raising so the floor plan with Murphy bed definately will work for us.

stov,
I am thinking ill be a tad over 18k as well once tt&l is factored in. Its starting to look like this isnt a terrible price. The floor plan is great for our small family and 2 dogs. Thanks again for everyones responses.
