Replacing Sofabed - Where?

Where's the best place to buy a replacement hide-a-bed? We have a very nice sofa in our 36CKTS but want to replace it with a real mattress type and get rid of the inflatable bed. Looking for experiences/recommendations. Thanks.

Since we were told by the dealer that the couch and recliners in our 2016, Cedar Creek, 34RL are made by Lazy Boy and the warranty information is from Lazy Boy. I would think that any Lazy Boy store could furnish you with what you are looking for.

Can you just order a replacement mattress for the existing sofa?

Not sure. Never considered that due to the way the air mattress is put on to the frame it may or may not work. Really looking for entire unit and will sell existing one cheap. Yes, LaZBoy RV is quite different from regular stuff...wouldn't be surprised if LaZboy buys from other RV furniture dealers.

We have the sofa with the air mattress too and like papicamper ours is for sale too. The air mattress is a pos and very uncomfortable. It's now in our basement for the time being until we order one with a real mattress.

LOL! POS indeed. That's putting it mildly. Let me know if you find a place you're going to buy from. I have a couple in mind already but wanted to put the word out and see if others have already done this. Yes, that inflatable should be for the beach...not to sleep on! Real PITA! Thanks!

We talked to our dealer last year about the upgraded sofa and he will get us one for cost so we'll order one in the spring when it warms up.

We had a Class A with the flexsteel hidabed and hated it. Mattress very thin. We had an inflatable bed in our fiver and was not crazy about it as it took up too much wrap when in use. We went to IKEA and bought a couch that was perfect for our needs. Here is the link HIMMENE Sofa bed - IKEA

Yes. This is one of the suppliers that I'm looking at. Thanks.

In the Elkhart, IN area, I was VERY happy with the work I had done at ProCustom Inc. The Dynamax OEM couch, dinette and Serta mattress looked great but, spend more than 20 minutes sitting or lying down and, you'd find it to be quite uncomfortable. I met Jack Harris of ProCustom, (574) 350-8989 at the FROG Rally last year. I was able to see their work and was impressed. My "king" mattress was changed for queen width foam type mattress (I can now use standard queen linens with only 4" of extra fabric at the foot of the bed) and, an Amish craftsman was brought in to measure for a custom sideboard, cabinets and dining table. A good recliner finished off the package. MUCH more comfortable than the OEM eye-candy.

NOTE: at ProCustom, you can sleep in your RV at night while it's being worked on during the day. You don't have to pay for a motel.

I know this is probably going to get "poo-pooed" but we bought a nice sofa bed from Camping World. Came wth a real nice mattress on it. You have to order it from their master catalog - the sale flyers usually don't carry the furniture. If you are a Good Sam member, anything over $99 ships "free" during their special sales.

Thanks...Didn't consider looking at IKEA. About 100 miles away. Will do so though. Got any model numbers or store ID numbers of what you bought? Thanks!

Thanks but looked and also will not fulfill needs. We need a hide-a-bed that you can keep sheets etc on when closed up. A regular (expensive I'm afraid) hide-a-bed. Thanks anyway. I appreciate your feedback.

Sorry, forgot to add that it has two storage bins underneath. More than enough room for all your sheets and pillows plus a memory foam topper if required.
