Roo 233S, fair price?

Ok, I am nearing the end of my negotiations with a couple of local dealers on a 2012 Roo 233S.
All standard features with the following options
Gas oven
Raised panel refrigerator fronts
Convenience pkg c
Power awning
Spare tire carrier & cover
Outside grill
Heated mattress
Carbon monoxide detector
Water purifier
Create a breeze roof vent in bathroom

MSRP - $23,447.95
My out the door lowest quote is $16,000.00

32% off MSRP

Does this seem like a fair price/deal? Of course I want the best price but the dealer needs profit to be in business. I want us both happy with the deal and I want to buy local - no way I am taking a chance of not getting service work just to save a few bucks by buying from another state or online :-)
My other quotes are nearer to 16.5 - 16.8 so it seems good to me.
For those who have purchases this model, or just know about these things in general...am I getting a fair shake?

Appreciate your comments!
Steph

I think the price sounds good.

What are RV Wholesalers and RV Direct asking for the same trailer? I bought my 233S locally and the price was very close.

I would get quotes from both of them for your comparison if you already had not.

As I recall when I bought last spring, RVD had beaten RVW and another local. The local dealer I ended up buying from was $400 more than RVD. I thought this was fair; especially since I planned to use them for warranty work (and have).

By the way,
Extras that are negotiable include...

A weight distribution hitch (installed). RVW is ually the cheapest around with Equal-i-zer for example. You can sometimes save considerable money if you order through them and install yourself, which is a good idea anyway to make sure its done right.

A decent battery(s) (not what the dealer usually puts on). This is important if you intend to dry camp for more than a couple of days at a time.

Last but not least - order the slide topper now. They are very useful and cost much less from the factory than as an after market item.

Actually I just got my quotes from RVW and RVD and both are much higher than my local dealer. RVW came in at $17,896 for the exact same features and RVD came back at a whopping $19K (granted it included $650 in shipping from New York to MI and storm windows). So maybe I should stop beating up my local guy for a better price ;-)

Steph,

Sounds pretty good...close to what I paid for my 2011 new in June 2011. I have about everything you are looking at except the power awning...I have the power tongue jack. As Triguy says, try to get a good deal on a weight distribution hitch. When I negotiated with RVW, they were including it in our price. While I ultimately purchased from a local dealer, RVW set the standards for my negotiations. Thought about the slide topper, but have been on too many high-wind campouts and would be too worried about it getting damaged. Bought a telescopic ladder to get up on top to clear debris before closing the slide (kids like to help). Also, get the FR extended warranty. $150 for one extra year of coverage. Friend of mine got his dealer to throw it in on his fifth wheel purchase. Good luck! I'm sure you'll enjoy your 233s...we certainly do!

Wow! That's quite the difference and I am surprised that they are so high. Even if you asked them to come down, and they would when you tell them you have a cheaper quote from a local, they really wouldn't be able to go low enough. $16K is pretty good if that includes everything.

If it doesn't already have one I could consider asking for a batter disconnect to be included. I had a push-pull knob type installed on my trailer and it so nice not having to remove the battery box lid.
