A few of us have talked about going together and buying a drum of it. I think it was just under $1.50 a gallon. Comes in handy this way, since I usually winterized at least a couple times over the winter. Especially since it takes a little over 4 gallons to winterize.
Last year Wal-Mart had 2 kinds of antifreeze- alcohol and non alcohol based. This season I only see alcohol based. Any chain stores with good deals?
Go to Home Depot or Lowes or any other hardware store and get Plumbing antifreeze just make sure its safe for metal pipes( just incase you have any metal fitting in your system) . Don't get alcohol based because the alcohol will evaporate and leave you with no protection. It will evaporate because you don't have a closed plumbing system. I just got some for $2.79 a jug , it was at Canadian Tire here in Canada so that does really help you
