New to RVing, one camping night. I love my TT. Any recommendations for club membership for discounts, passport?, SAM?, etc

I used SAM and it paid for itself. I would continue to use it. Just research the campgrounds in your area and ones you would most Lilly use and see if they have a SAMs club membership discount. As far as joining a club that offers savings on certain campgrounds such as a time share or something of that nature, we have yet to find. We looked and there are a lot of good deals but we carefully examined the available campground in
Our area and it was not worth it.

FROG membership is the best one out there!! It's free and trips are the best most reasonable out there. We had both good Sam and passport again depends were and when (many are sun-Thursday) but you can definitely save money.

Besides FROG we are Escapee and Good Sam members. We attended Escapee Boot Camp in Livingston, Texas last Nov. Some of the best money we've ever spent. We learned so much, found out how much more we have to learn, and met some wonderful people. Our Good Sam membership has already paid for itself in free shipping on our Camping World orders. FROG, of course, is free and we are part of a group organizing both a Texas state group and a Houston regional group. I hope you'll join us. Ray and I are already registered for the International Rally in Goshen. Keep in touch!

We have Good SAM, F.R.O.G and CAA Premimum RV. Yes the CAA is not really an RV membership but you get lots of discounts at campsites etc and when SAM does not cover usually AAA/CAA does.

In addition to Good Sam we use Passport America. Depending on how often you camp and how far you travel it could save you more than the membership fee. Most parks exclude holidays and some exclude week-ends and may restrict the number of discounted nights.

FROG and Good Sam member. The free shipping from Camping World more than pays for the Good Sam membership. Welcome to the forum.

We're also pretty new and just bought the 5 yr Good Sam's Club (I think it's $17 per year?). Haven't used it yet, but feel confident enough that we can camp twice a year to cover the cost...

We have Good Sam, Resorts of Distinction, Adventure Outdoor Resorts and Passport America oh and we are FROG members also. Of the ones that cost Passport America seems to have the best return for the money for us.

We're Thousand Trails members, but it's only a good deal because they're pretty close to us and we can use them quite often.

We are members of AAA, good Sam, travel resorts America. With travel resorts we did.have a coast to coast membership also but we dropped that portion due to lack of use ( the c2c campgrounds in our easily reached area werent to nice, we can resign up got no extra fee when ready to use it again for some of the farther out campgrounds.). We camp a lot at our travel resorts home campground.

Don't go broke saving money! Good Sams is good for discounts and for Camping World discounts. I guess what I am trying to say is unless you are rv'ing full time, pick your clubs carefully. I remember when Sam's (Wal-Mart Sam's) opened here in town 30 years ago my wife and I went in to check it out. We did not get a cart but found a couple with a cart full of stuff. The DW was walking to the cart with a case of tomato sauce, she looked at the full cart and said "How often do I make spaghetti anyway" and she put the sauce back. People go broke all the time saving money. Don't do it camping. I mean, camp sites, mostly, are reasonable already so don't spend a lot of money for discounts unless it makes sense. Check into where you are likely to camp and join a club that fits your situation. Oh, by the way, my DW went shopping the other day and caught a great sale. When she got home I asked her if she saved enough to make a mortgage payment?

We have Passport America and it pays for itself many times over. Have Good Sams but hardly use it. As for the Camping World discounts they are over priced on 90% of their stuff IMHO so we don't buy much from them anyway.

Good Sam only. I just renewed for 1 year for $25 and got a $25 coupon toward 1 night of camping. Can't beat that. Plus it's good for discounts at Camping world.
