Well we too have purchased the extended warrenty more than once. We used ours several times for small things. We have a $25. deductable and they have to come to where we are, we don't have to take it to them. We save the $25. in gas $ not going to the dealership. So far so good. If it keeps us from needing it, it was worth the price.

I was just told by the dealer that if you buy a new rig from Forest River they will sell you an additional year bumper to bumper for $100.
I don't have the details but that sounded really reasonable for the 2nd year.
I'm sure it has some deductable.
Anyone else hear something similiar?

I've seen this posted by others in the forum. $100 is a deal, just wish they would have offered that when we bought or if they did we didn't know anything about it.

We bought a 2006 Flagstaff 831FKSS and we bought the extended warranty. We've only had it 3 months and I've used the extended warranty twice already. We had to replace the Air conditioner, a set of stairs and the Concertone system. Total cost of the repairs was upwards of $1100. I paid $86.11. So personally, I think it's worth it.

We have 5 year extended on ours from the same company we had the same package on with the old TT. If we don't use the warranty they give us our money back minus 200 bux. ANd they did just that when we got the new TT and we just rolled the return into the new one. We have what they refer to as the ultimate coverage and they will repair or replace pretty much everything in the trailer except the canvas on the awning. For this one cost $1900.00. Would I get it again.. In a heartbeat. The thing with these warranties is you have to look at the cost of what broke, if it is not a lot of $$$ then fix it yourself and in our case anyway take the payout at the end if your trailer hasen't had any claims, of course if something major like an axle or air conditioner goes will then make the claim.

Anyone need the form for the 2nd year extended warranty from Forest River?
Most trailer $150 but call Forest River first to double check.

I have to agree with those that tend to shun extended warranties. I bought them on two cars in the past, one wasn't needed--and the other's underwriter folded (ouch!).

That said--I did purchase a $2K plan on the new 8314SS simply because I'm not much of a handyman (anymore), and it seems there is a lot to go wrong. We get our money back if we never use it, so I rolled the dice.

Time will tell!

I bought a 2004 in 2006 and bought an extended warranty and have used it for a new water heater, spring shackles, and a slide repair. One thing to do when purchasing a warranty is to buy one that lists what is excluded vs what is included.
