RV Wholesalers & Canadian Customers

Hi all,

I don't mean to ask the RV Direct vs. RV Wholesaler question all over again here.

Specifically, I would like to know if any Canadian folks have had warranty work performed on a unit they purchased from RV Wholesalers?

They have mentioned that they have service agreements with Canadian shops to perform warranty work if a local dealer is un-willing to perform work on a unit not purchased there.

Curious to know how this has worked out for anyone...

I have not heard of any..I guess if FR will honor warranty claims from ANY Dealer it would work..but I would be careful. Some of these discounters purchase from the factory without warranty support in hopes of selling you the extended warranty package and then you are up the creek.

We had warranty work done on our previous camper that was purchased through RV Wholesalers. Specifically, we had a pressure test done by a local dealer in Hamilton, Ontario to find the source of a leak around the slideout. The dealer does not sell Rockwood, but sells Forest River Class A motorhomes. I submitted a written estimate, got Forest River approval through RV Wholesalers and had the test and resulting work done. We paid the invoice and submitted it to RV Wholesalers and were re-imbursed.

Our Rockwood dealer in Kelowna is carrying out warranty work on my RVW unit no problem. I think he just submits the invoice direct to FR. RVW did offer to have the invoice sent to them too.
