Sierra Model F21 Value

Hello again all!

We have this 2003 ('04?) Sierra F21 5th-wheel that is basically brand new. In fact...we are currently on our very 1st TRIP since we bought it new in Oct. '03. (We kept it parked in the garage all this time and never got to use it).
Anyway...since we don't use it and our needs have changed we have decided that after our trip we are going to put it up for sale. But I cannot find it listed anyplace to even begin to place a value on it.

Any kind of help would be appreciated...
Thanks,
Terry & Kiem

That's what the decal says by the door. Right under the Forest River decal.

I just went out and read the sticker and it says "F21FLS" for the model.

something ain't right.

NADA shows no such 5th wheel or travel trailer, for 2003 and 2004.
looked under "Sierra by Forest River" AND "Forest River-California".
no such model number for a 5th wheel. not even one with "21" in it.

Googling "Sierra 21FLS" also brought up nothing.

I'm thinking that it may be a 27 and not a 21. Haven't seen anything shorter than a 23 in a fifth wheel. Unless this was a very limited production run and the program got the axe before too many were made. You may possibly have a rare item. Get the VIN and call FR to see what you really have.

Hey guys the trailer IS a 27'er.
But I did not misread the model number on the sticker....
in fact I just went and verified my previous posting.
Sierra F21FLS is in the model number block.

it would be very unusual for a manufacturer to use "21", in the model number of a 27' trailer.
can you post a pic of where on the trailer this is posted?

cause the sticker has to be wrong or it's something that even NADA has no record of.

I hope this works...

Here is a picture of the decal on the trailer and a picture of the manufacturers label

According to FR, from the serial number it is a 28' trailer.

To my knowledge FR only made this 'Lite' for 1-2 years. Gross weight is only 8000# (a key feature when we bought it).
Very hard to find any information on this trailer and neither NADA OR KBB lists the trailer anyplace that I can find.

See why I'm asking for help??

Once I get it home and cleaned out from this trip, (we all know how ugly they tend to get on the road), I'll get pictures of the inside to post it up for sale officially.

Thanks all!
Terry

As a side note...my son has the tow behind version of this and it was somewhat of a chore to come up with a value for his too.

quite often, FR will make a trailer for a specific large dealership.
they may have made this Northwest Package one for such a dealership in Washington and that's why it doesn't show up in NADA.
usually though, it's a duplicate of a regular floorplan, just with this special package. the twin model will have a different model number.

you might check on RVWeb.com, they have info and pics of older floorplans. you might find the twin floorplan there and look for its value.

Hi Dan

I called an FR dealership and they could not locate this specific model either...even using the vin # or model # from the pictures I posted !!

So I now have an email into FR for information about my unit. I don't know if they will respond but what else can I do?

I did check the rvweb.com website and could not find it listed nor could I locate the older floorplans as you suggested.

Guess we'll have to wait and see what FR says.

Thanks,
Terry
