We pay $70 per month in Upstate SC for fenced, lighted and covered storage with 24 hour keypad code access seven miles from home. The spot has a gravel base and no electricity or lights inside the spot. (The backup camera is a big help when backing in, especially during the day.) It is fenced with keypad code access, some cameras, but no after hours security. It's locally owned by an individual. He has an office on site, does the maintenance, and checks every spot every morning. He asked me to tell him when we are taking our RV out so he can keep up with what's going on. I can call him any time if there's a problem.

There are walls on the south and west sides, so it's out of the sun most of the day. I use a windshield cover but only cover the front tires, since the rear ones are never in the sun.

The cost for an uncovered spot is $40 per month, which is about typical for the area. The additional $30 is well worth it to me.

We pay $70 per month in upstate South Carolina for covered and partially enclosed storage about seven miles from home. It is fenced with 24 hour keypad code access and camera coverage (not on each site), but no overnight security. It has a gravel pad but no electricity or interior lights. (The RV’s backup camera is a big help.) It’s owned by a local individual who has an office on site. He checks every spot every day and records what he sees. He asked me to tell him when we are taking our RV out so he can keep up with what’s going on.

There are walls on the south and west, so our RV isn’t in the sun much of the day. I use a windshield cover (not in the photo) and cover the front tires. I don’t bother covering the rear tires since they are never in the sun.

The cost for an outdoor spot there is $40 per month, which is typical for the area. The additional $30 per month is well worth it to me.

I forgot to mention that our storage lot is only 1/2 mile away. :-)

I hired a paving / excavation company to do this to my yard.

The cost of the work will pay for itself in less than 3 years given the cost of outside storage elsewhere.

We pay $1000/year for secure inside (unheated) storage. We have a 30 x 50 foot bay and 24 hour access. There is actually an attendant on duty 24/7.
It's an old factory building that has been gutted for storage.
It is 4 1/2 miles from our home and from what I have read in this thread, we have a decent setup.

I pay $75 a month for a 40 x 15 gravel spot. Owner lives on site. Secure, 24 hour access (as long as I let him know I'll be coming after dark so he doesn't greet me with the shotgun), coded access.

Just tucked in the 29bhs, just over 34 ft, bumper to tongue. $18 a foot $578 buys secured indoor storage with surveillance until the end of April or when the snow clears. Too expensive but very limited choices.

Maybe on the road south next winter

Sold our 5r so we don't have storage spot anymore. We were paying $45 a month for fenced, secured gravel spot that was a narrow, back in from a right angle. parking area. Last time we were there a couple backed their new long fifth wheel into the driver side corner of a Class A while trying to squeeze into their assigned spot. Not a good day for them.
Our new Sunseeker 2430 will be parked in our driveway. Garage storage is available for $100 a month should we need it.

On our friends farm paying $30.00 a month parked on covered concrete floor with 30 amp electric and close to water if we need it. Good place to stay a night or two overlooking lake and farm fields when we've consumed a few and don't want to drive the 10 miles home.

As far as storing my RV, it sits on the side of my house. I have a fat lot in the city. When I purchased this house I wanted a 3 car garage and a lot wide enough to have RV parking.
The advantage is I put in a 30 plug so I can keep it plugged in and when ever we want to go somewhere it is easy to pack what we want into it. Since the kids all left one bedroom became my wife's sewing room and the next bedroom became my in house gym, So if I ever have WANTED guests over they use the RV. Like I said wanted guests only other wise its off limits.

I store mine at an RV/Boat storage lot surrounded by a 12 ft high chain link fence and has security cameras everywhere. Very well lighted. No power, but does have water. Entry is a coded gate 24/7. I pay $55 monthly.

$60 a month paved lot chain link fence 24/7 access via gate code. I found cover for $450 and a dump station. For that I can take a trip every few months...I also found back in space for $140 5min closer to my house but not worth double in south KC.
