I've had issues several times with rubber stems . that's why i won't use them .

That white spot on my rim (in the pics) is what rubber stems did to my sensors... They allowed the sensor / stem to flex from the centrifugal forces and made contact.

your darn lucky it didn't tear the rubber stems . anymore steel is the way to go after all most of these stems come from china lol

I put the plastic chrome covers over my 3/4 rubber valve stems and they don't flex now.
