Got my Insurance

Today I called AARP Hartford Insurance for the insurance for my 2013 Salem Cruise Lite 221RXBL. I already have my vehicles with them. I almost fell over when they said $47.00. But they went on to explain that it was $47.00 a year! Wow I am pleased!!!!!!!!

I have two houses, seven vehicles, boats, a tractor and other odds and ends through Farm Burea but they could not match Progressive on my SxS and TT. I may consider them for all my needs.

Shop around!

When we bought an (SOB (HH)) 07 5th wheel our insurance was MUCH lower than a friends 5 yr old entry level 5er.

Beware of "lumping" RV coverage with auto/homeowner policy as a Rider...more detailed coverage with an RV policy.

Congrats on your camper from fellow RV'ers just North of you in GA!

Someone mentioned AAA RV-Plus, which I also have, but it reminded me of another thing to be aware of. If you get roadside assistance, from AAA or Good Sam or whoever, be sure that your plan includes a provision for towing both vehicles if necessary. If your tow vehicle needs to be towed, you don't want to leave the trailer sitting there on the side of the road to be hit or broken into.

I have all our insurance with Farm Bureau, but I think they are a little high on the 5er and the SxS. Will look for alternatives before renewal time... never hurts to keep them honest.

Farm Bureau here. $80 a year with my homeowners policy and a $250 deductible.

I use Farm Bureau for my two tractors only, on them I could not find anything near their price.
