Which deal is better?

About to pull the trigger on a deal for either a 2012 Solera or a 2011 Solera RV. Both RV's are exactly equipted except the 2011 has a diesel generator and the 2012 has an LP generator. The diesel genny is quieter and more economical and doesn't use LP from a precious small tank. The 2012 is $65748 and the 2011 is $59125 a $6600 difference. Really want the diesel, a $3000 upgrade over LP but it would be nice to have a year newer unit. Please help me decide!!!!

personally I would pick the diesel option ..... but my dw would say um not !
she would make me seriously consider the lp version .

now resale value I would also say better for diesel for the reasons listed .
Quiet and fuel efficient !

do what you can afford and live with down the road .

just my opinion

If you factor the diesel upgrade there is a $9600 difference, probably a lot less than the depreciation of a year older unit. i would take the newer unit.

Decided to go for cheaper model w/better generator even though 2012 was reduced to $65248 (after I booked a flight). 2011 dealer didn't take a trade though so now I have to sell my 2008 Truck camper myself.
