If you're going to drill the second hole for the upper mounting bracket, install the bracket and the support, center the lower portion of the support on the awning arm, mark the location for the second hole, and then drill it.

On the first one I eyeballed whether the upper bracket was "straight", and I was off slightly. But slightly at the top can become quite a bit at the bottom. LOL

Did everything come out ok? Did you get all 4 poles mounted?

BTW Folks, still time to purchase a set and make UPS tomorrow. Only 4 sets left + one that can have custom length poles for a motorhome. After these 5 sets are gone, it's all over for OC N T FAB N CHASSIS awning tie down pole kits.

For everyone else, the price is $100 + $10 shipping tube + UPS. For the MOST valued employee, it is $99.95 + UPS.

Me thinks you got that back a$$wards.

Any time you have to go north to cross the Mississippi River to get into a country, something is definitely wrong! (Moline to Bettendorf)

One set is painted and mounted. Did that yesterday.

Just picked up the primer and paint for the second set, which is on tomorrows agenda.

I also took 10-1/4 inches off the inner tube to allow the bottom of the outer tube to be even with the bottom of the awning arm when in the stowed position.

I still have plenty of extension left when my awning is extended.

"Glow In the Dark Rope" and Ground Anchors headed this way.

Thanks for a super product.
