Based on a recommendation that I read here on the forum (I think by Turbo, but not sure) I used:

Dupli-Color Adhesion Promoter UPC# 026196341990 for a primer, after wiping the poles down with bleach. I used bleach because I was afraid that something like MEK, or mineral spirits, might cause the material to get tacky. The Adhesion Promoter dries very fast. You can handle and paint it after about 30 minutes or less.

Dupli-Color Trim Paint UPC# 026916900700 for the actual paint. The Trim Paint dries to a semi gloss finish which matches the awning arms very well.

Three of the four arms operate fine without scraping the paint on the inner tube. The fourth one is scratching the paint on the inner arm, and I think it is because there is a burr of some sorts on the inside of the outer tube. When I finish waxing (probably two more days) I'll pull that one apart and find something to ream out the outer tube, and repaint the inner tube.

I bought my primer and paint at O'Reilly's Auto, but many of the Auto Stores carry Dupli-Color.

I also primed and used the same paint on the Upper Mount and Stowage brackets.

Hope this helps.

3 sets left ready to ship and 1 set available for custom length poles for a motorhome and then the shop is closed.

Better get 'em now if you want 'em. This is the last batch.

Well, it's off to Lowes to get the last shipping tubes. Hopefully will be able to close OC N T FAB & CHASSIS Mfg early next week. Only 3 sets left ready to ship & one custom length set left to make the inner poles.

(2) 3/16" dia holes toward the bottom of ea. arm for the stow brackets. The pole attaching brackets use the existing bolts.

New stow brackets are only 1" wide. The ones in the picture are 1-1/2" wide.

One set left ready to ship and one set can still be made for a motorhome. PM me for details on either set. Can ship either tomorrow or Wed with Syencers.

Finally found a store that would trade 2 weeks of phood stamps phor 2 cases of beer. A case of BBC and a case of Coors Light (already in camper). Attached is a picture of Turbs last paycheck that he has to share 5 with Amy and the rest with RVChick, Kenny and others. The Coors will be shared with whomever shows up. I don't want to drag it around. I might drink part of one.
