Smile Lil Stankr vent fan

Need a "new" in box with switch, Lil Stankr roof exhaust vent fan for holding tank. Prefer stainless steel versus painted unit.

Turbs: Thanks for your opinion. I had one for three years on my class C and it worked great, in eliminating the toilet odors. Unfortunatley, the company stopped manufacturing the roof units 2+ years ago. I am trying to locate one for my current trailer. Maybe someone/dealer has one for sale.

I understand your position but in reality there's no way for the fan to work.
An rv plumbing system is a closed system there's no way for the fan to draw air "except" in the black tank when you open the flush valve for two seconds.
There's no way for the fan to evacuate the system in that amount of time.

In the gray tanks it can't work period as there's never an air source to draw from.

Take a two inch piece of pvc 2' long and cap one end then try to suck air from the open end.
Its not possible.

You may think it worked on your mh but there's no possible way.

Carry on as this is just an fyi.

Happy camping!

We had a Lil Stanker on an Outback 30RLS. Before I installed it, we had odors after 3 or more days, when we flushed. After the Lil Stanker, there was no odors. You can argue that it won't work on a closed system, but I'm here to tell you, it worked! And...I had a happy wife. A happy wife is a happy life! Perhaps it only drew air when the toilet valve was open. I don't care, it worked! For some reason, my current camper doesn't have that problem. Maybe because the toilet is not directly on top of the black tank.

Weezer: I located the same "product review." They do not sell the item. I do thank you for the information. This product is basically off the shelf and no strays can be found by me.

Seems like it would work as even if it's a closed system....technically it is not due to the existence of the vent of itself but with the p traps and toilet seal I can see how you could make that argument. it would provide the same negative draft as a furnace or a large vent stack would provide. I can see how it would work pulling the air space in the tanks into a ever so slight vacuum.... unless there was enough pressure to overcome the cfm of the fan in the opposite direction...all the stink would be pulled out the stack

(sigh) that's whutigit for not reading the link content...

However, it *appears* they sell 'em here for a little over $63.00....

Lil' Stanker™ In-Line Deodorizer Fans

I'm not techie so I'm not sure this is exactly what you're lookin' for, but the brand name and a cursory looksee leads me to believe it might be.

Edit....errr this one is "inline" instead of "roof mount". Again, I'm not a techie nor am I mechanically inclined, except that I know where the windshield wiper liquid reservoir is. /snork

inline is still manufactured. I want a roof top model. Thanks to all who responded constructively. Now that my request for assistance is going "south", how do I get the posting closed?
