What ever the price------------
What ever the price, they are worth it. Great service to the awning industry. Again Coot, you should get a patent before some awning MFG does.
At $99.95 +shipping was just a figure for laughs. I did pay quite a bit more
with no complaints.

I know I've mentioned this before, but with the price of the alum tubing going out of sight, I doubt that there will be anymore kits made here @ D&D Chassis. I might mfg/sell the pole attaching brackets as that is flat plate and not as costly, just labor intensive.
So, when these are gone, like Bugs Bunny use to say, "That's All Folks"

Installed mine last night. 15 minutes and done. My awning is so high i will need to drill a few more holes in the inner tube, but they work great even as is. I will try and get some pics on here soon. I painted the outers, top and bottom brackets, and the top 16 inches or so of the inner tube, and used 400 grit paper on an orbital sander for the rest of the inner tube. Looks great, i think.
Thanks OC

Glad the installation was trouble free. Sorry about not having enough holes. Waiting for the pictures also.

Well, it's like this, I pheel phor you, but I j u s t can't quite reach ya! With the Goshen rally trip and going to FL after Thanksgiving, we should make approximately another 75 days this year, so we that will make about 140 this yr provided the Man Upstairs permits us continued good health.
We are both looking forward to meeting you, Amy, RVCHICK, Lou & Laura and all the others including those we met at the Florida rally.

Hey, hey, hey, the shipping tube came today!!!
I certainly didn't get it installed in 15 minutes like the mechanics. Took me more like 3 hours. Ah, but here's the rest of the story, like the famous man says...
So here's this bullet-proof tube at my door. I cut the tape off, but it's riveted at both ends and the middle. Thought about gettin' out the AR-15, but I finally decided to drill the rivets off in the middle. So, the most work on this project involves getting the shipping tube open.
But wait, it calls for pop-rivets. I don't have a tool, my neighbors don't have a tool. Oh, hold on, there's an optional stainless steel bolt, so I rumage thru my bolt bins. OK, time to go to Home Depot buy tool and bolts.
I'm back, everything's ready to go... unbolt, bolt, drill, fasten, bolt, drill, pop, drill, repeat... no wait, open a McUltra, and take a break. Now, repeat. Done. Well, almost. Open another McUltra, and put up the ladder and the tools. Not bad for my first pop-rivet job.
Actual labor, not much, ease of job, fair, most time spent on... pharting around. Here's a couple pics:

After all is said and done and more importantly, are you satisfied?

I was crawlin' back to the ice chest, the pics looked fine from where I was layin'.
Most important, satisfied. You did all the hard work and measuring and machining. No sharp edges. All I had to do was put it togehter. I deployed it and retracted it. I'll probably make the tube holes that I drilled a bit wider where it stows so I can get the pin in/out easier.
OC, you had a great idea with this. I still feel lucky to get the fifth one you had left. Normally I miss out on good stuff like this. Thanks again. Nuther sideways pic:

I took the pins to a grinder and put a little angle around the ends.
Works much better for me!

Don't have any problems getting pin into OC's holes on the tube. Gonna make mine the same size and smoothe the edges like he did. I was in a hurry. OC does much better work than me.

I did mine too, but didn't want to grind the plating off and cause them to rust.

You're gonna like 'em. I saw earlier that you got number-four-left. It really didn't take me long to install them after I picked up a pop-rivet tool at Home Depot. Normally I can borrow one. But I was so excited that I wanted to install them right away.
Even put off doing my Camco screen-door-cross-bars that I got at Wal-Mart today. I'm easily side-tracked.
Let us know how your install goes tomorrow.
