Even put off doing my Camco screen-door-cross-bars that I got at Wal-Mart today. I'm easily side-tracked.
Let us know how your install goes tomorrow.

Oh I love that Camco screen door cross-bar thing too...see I get squirreled too! Yes will show pics for sure! So do you need a thick screen door for that cross bar to hold? I am going to paint mine black to match the awning arms....just trying to pick flat or a shines finish! Are you adding those amazing LED lights too?

The best part about these poles is when you are the only guy in the campground sitting under the shade of your awning on a windy day.

Installed the cross-bar on my last trailer. Haven't even looked at the doors on this new one, just bought the Camco bars on impulse when I saw them.
I actually went into Wal-Mart to buy a couple Coleman Extreme-5 Wheeled Coolers for my camping and fishing trips. Read some good reviews comparing them with those expensive coolers for keeping ice. Thought I'd give them a try. They'll fit in the bed of my truck under the tonneau cover.
Not gonna paint or polish OC's poles. Maybe later if they oxidize. No fancy led lights for me right now. I use a string of white led christmas lights for my awning lights. They only cost me a couple bucks on clearance in January.

Your's are put aside, the only reason your's are polished is because TOWTA requested(ORDERED) me to polish your's. Now, I just have to figure out why you're so "#$%^&" special.
p.s. And I ain't wasting a $10 shipping tube on you!

Found some nice ground stakes for the Awning-Tie-Down-Poles at one of our local 99-cent stores. Picked up four. Widened the holes I drilled in the tie-down tubes to park them, the pin fits nicely now.
Everything's great OC, even got my screen door cross-bars installed.
The ground stakes (pet stakes) are 16" long, fairly heavy duty compared to some others I've seen. Here's pics

That's what I use, I bead blasted the chrome off and painted them Cub Cadet yellow (already had it) so they are easy to see. I usually screw them in the ground clear to the handle and hook the rachet strap to the handle except in North Carolina dirt (clay & rock)

I'm back on the forum after a long absence and just saw this. I've struggled with our awning on windy days so this would be great. Would you hold one until I can check with the finance manager later this afternoon?

On hold til midnight! That way it will give you time to run the sweeper, dust the furniture, fix dinner, do the dishes and get the kids ready for bed.

Hey RVChick, glad I'm not the only one that blinked twice when I saw the shipping tube. I told OC if he shipped them in that 5" square plastic fence post cover, he could double the sale as two products... awning kit and hose assist kit. I did knock off some McUltra while I was assembing.
Did ya'll get it installed in 15 minutes like the pros?

By the way, I just drilled out the pop-rivets in the middle of my tube. Didn't have to mess with all that heavy-duty tape on the ends. OC gave you the six-pack instructions, my way is the half bottle short-cut.
