I really like them since I can still use my sun shade in the accessory slot.

And they take the load off the arms/struts when using the sun shade.

Here are mine deployed in 20 to 25 mph winds. Notice the palm trees swaying. Great product!

Left awning out all night and today the poles are still holding the awning in place with no issues. Great job Neil!

I installed the awning poles and have a problem. Now, while opening the awning, the gas lift strut on the arm towards the front of the trailer (the end of the awning with the electrical hook up) isn't strong enough to hold up its end of the awning. I have to believe it's because of the additional weight of the pole. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm thinking it might be a defective strut because the rear arm strut seems to be holding up ok. But before I ask for a warranty replacement strut I thought it was best to check here first.

Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

To my knowledge, you are the only one out of the 15 sold that has the problem. Do you have the problem when you deploy the awning with the pole in the stow position or just when it is swinging loose?
