Just left dealer/service dept, I have a bad board. They could get the lights on but wouldn't stay on. $214 dollars+$20 shipping. Are these covered under any warranty? Ours is a 2012, I know we bought the "Ultra, Super,Deluxe,Grand Multi-Year Extended warranty!"

If Mr. Clements is on, do you know if FR will overnight the board, I told the service manager I'd pay extra if they would! Otherwise they said it was 7-10 days before FR would ship!

After 3 weeks waiting to get it looked at I'm ready to get her home!( where we can leave home for a while)

It's a small enough board, they may overnight if the dealer sets it up that way.

The question becomes if they extended warranty covers expedited freight.

I'm not worried about the freight what kind of warranty would cover this Mercedes-Benz forest River or extended warranty. Doesn't look like the extended warranty will cover this!

Not sure why the extended warranty wouldn't cover it? If you're inside the 1 year Forest River would cover it.

If they go out again, this forum will definitely hear about it. Just cost a little under $500 to get repaired. $200 for the board $250 labor and then expedited shipping! Came with a 90 day warranty, so I guess I need to use it next three months instead of putting it up for the winter( sounds good to me)

Mckirby, If you kept the board, send it to BClemens. They can look at it, like Cousins board, and if the same components fried on both, I think that might be what FR or the component manufacturer to correct the problem.

Mckirby, did you send that failed board to BClemens to help get to the bottom of your issue. Just wondering where this board issue is, so others can benifit from the research.

Greetings...
As a new perspective on the problem, my 2012 Solera (with incandescent bulbs) blows the fuse on this board when connected to a trailer (also a Forest River brand but the trailer has LED's). It seems to be OK when running without the trailer so this may just be a little additional load causing the failure. I'll replace the coach lights with LED and see if it helps. Interestingly, it handled the trailer just fine for about a month but now it will blow the fuse within a few seconds of running connected to the trailer. The trailer has good wiring because it works perfectly when behind my pickup but blows the fuse when behind the Solera.
