2011 Solera won't crank

Engine won't even turn over...DEF tank full...
When I turn the ignition key to start position nothing happens. Tried jump starting and that didn't work. No system indicators lit to show a problem (idiot lights).
Any thoughts?

Do you get idiot lights when hooked to the jumper battery? If not, I suspect a broken/disconnected or bad battery cable connection.

Good possibly- Battery terminals at battery are heavily corroded at the post inside at contact point. Or grond to frame is poor connection. Happened to me, even jump source couldn't get through!

I had similar problem . I posted remedy. Fuse # 23 blown. I replaced fuse. Good to go. If it is the problem make sure to replace with 25 amp fusee.

I had the same problem and after a lot of @#%$# a buddy of mine who has Sprinter vans for his buisness came by a found a 15amp fuse in #23 it should be a 25amp. Brania has the right solution. the fuse is in the panel under the dash.

I'll call the Freightliner shop in the morning and tell them to see if this fuse is blown.
Does anyone know what this fuse is for?

It is to protect the starter. I had mine in Freightliner and had them check the amp draw on the starter. It needs to be 25amp fuse the surge on starting is around 18-20 amps. It is only for the starter. have them check the amps on the starter.

2011 Solera..The engine wouldn't crank because fuse #23 was blown. Mech. at Freightliner said it had a 20 amp fuse and was supposed to be a 25 amp fuse so he replaced it with a 25 amp. I had called the repair office and advised them to look for #23 so it was a slam dunk there
Tow truck driver unable to loosen bolts on the rear universal joint on the drive shaft so he had to remove the right rear axle in order to tow. Some of the fluid in the axle housing seeped out..The mech at Freightline replaced all the bolts in the universal joint and topped off the "dope" in the axle housing.

(the drive shaft has to be removed at the rear so that the transmission won't be damaged if a vehicle has to be towed a certain number of miles...don't know what it is for Sprinter (maybe 25 miles) but it would have exceeded that number of miles) I added this so that if it happens to you, you won't be surprised...

Many thanks to those of you who told me about #23....
