2013 Solera Tire Buy
Getting ready to buy tires next year (2017) before I pull my Solera out of storage. Looking at options of where to buy and what brand. Might just stick with the Continental Tires. I am hearing that Michelin Tires would give me a better ride. Appreciate any information from other Solera owners of what brand they bought, where they bought or why they changed brands. Thanks in advance.

Michelins from Costco. Got about 32K miles from the Continentals, already at 43K on the Michelins, and they still look good. I believe the vehicle rides better also.

You can't go wrong with either choice. Personally I like Continentals. On my Solera (previous MH) I put 20K miles & 6 years on them and they looked brand new. My new Sunseeker has Michelins and after 3K miles no issues.

Called COSTCO here locally, they cannot lift the RV. Did you bring in the tires?

2013 Solera Tire Buy
We recently purchased new Michelin Defender LTX tires for our 2013 Solera. As members of FMCA we were able to use the Michelin Advantage Program which resulted in a substantial savings on the cost of the 6 tires. Details on the program can be found at Michelin Advantage Program

I don't know, but you can probably enter make / model of chassis on Michelin's website to find out.

When It's quoted from the poster, the question on what model tire was purchased, is directed to that individual post who had purchased the tires (Michelins ). The thread get convoluted when the post quoted gets dropped, and mine gets inserted. The question still remains, to JLeising, what model michelins are working good for him. Just sayin'

I bought the M/S rated 4 season tires - Michelin Defender LTX, as I remember. Costco here installed - Redwood City CA Costco. Only issue- they couldn't fit metal stems (their metal stems did not fit the Mercedes rims). Had the stems they installed -"high pressure snap in " stems - similar to the OEM stems - replaced by a truck tire shop.

Costco did provide warranty, balancing. I believe they will do rotations, but I chose to use a different shop - the one that did my metal valve stems. Also had that shop align the vehicle and re-balance the tires at that time.
I believe there are other shops better equipped and more capable of handling the Motorhome for wheel balance and alignment. I found a truck and auto alignment shop locally.
