2014 FR Solera 24R rear wheel hub cap
Just returned home from a trip over some very bumpy roads and discovered
one of the rear hub caps is missing!
Been looking online and can't find one that matches.
Does anyone know where I can find one? Will I need to contact Forest River?
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Might try RVdirect they can get the parts for you. I had to get a new fender skirt this last week they got it with no problem. Just go on their web site and look for the parts and accessories link.

Solera has a bad history of it coming off. If you are having to pay for one. I would buy 2 of the bolt on ones.

I have a 24R Solera and have just lost my rear hubcap too. Does anyone know if the replacement for the 3500 Sprinter will work on the 2500 Solera? They look like they might, but has anyone done this switch? Finding ones specified for the 2500 Sprinter has so far been elusive.

If you have a 24R Solera it is a 3500 Sprinter, not a 2500 Sprinter.
The 2500 is basically a cargo van, only rated at about 9000lbs. The 3500 is the cab chassis which is rated for 11,000lbs. its the only chassis we use.

Recalls
Another recall on 1,500 FR units. It addresses the wheel studs breaking off the hubs. There are about a dozen different models affected.

On what? You know this is a motorhome thread right? Specifically a Mercedes 3500 Sprinter...so it would really be a Mercedes recall. Although i guess we would ultimately get tagged.

that recall number appears to be for trailers if I read it correctly at safercar.gov.
On the hubcaps coming off, (aka Wheel Liners) a good set of stainless zip ties can be had at Home Depot and looped thru two of the 18 holes to hold those caps on. I usually put several on each wheel. Push the locking portion behind the hole and the tie is barely visible. At HD look in the same section with the nylon cable (zip) ties and you'll find them.

Lock tight won't work as the wheel covers snap on rather than bolt on. If I replace mine it will be with bolt on. I use four plastic ties on each cover now to hold them on. 7000 miles and still working.
