2014 Solera S door- help!

The door on our 2014 Solera S swings open violently unless you keep a firm grip on it. There is a sort of pump/ vacuum opener on the bottom of the door. The opener is very slim. It is attached to the dorr an an aluminum threshold. I can't determine how to adjust it. The force of the opening on the door is so strong that the threshold slips outward about an eighth of an inch during each such incident and returns to the original position when the door is closed.
Grandkids often just raise latch and push the door when exiting. The door then swings open with trememdous force on its own.
Anyone know how to adjust the opener to sloq down the door?

I think all you can do is replace it. Just make sure the new ones tension is in the correct direction. To remove just slide the spring clip off of the pivot ball.
