2401W Slide Question

Just took delivery of 2401W and noticed that the top back slide mount that bolts onto the main wall has no screws pic attached. Can anyone confirm that's correct?
Also On the outside when closed it does not meet up flush, sticks out about an inch from the side wall. Is that normal?

ThanksClick image for larger version

Not sure about the inside but as long as the rubber seals are contacting the mating surface, the outside is normal - same as my 2401R.

Thanks!
The dealer said both areas were normal but was looking for a second opinion. The inside just doesn't seem right.

I have a 2401w as well and asked the same thing about the 1 inch gap at the bottom of the slide and was told that was normal. It doesn't look quite right but if it is normal it may be to counter the weight when out, results in less lean... Just a theory.

Hey Kysunseeker, thank you for the reply.
When you have a chance do you mind checking the back slide top brace / bracket on the inside. Mine appears to be missing screws. Have the pic posted above.

Thanks

The gap on my S is much smaller, but that may be related to the slides being different in size and technology.

From the pic, it sure seems that those screws should be there!

Looks like they failed to install the screws and an adjustment is needed so it closes flush. I'd send those pic's directly to Forest River. The dealer is ALWAYS going to say "it's supposed to be that way". For the money you spent, you deserve to have it corrected.

S and W are different slide mechanisms. S is a below floor slide, so requires more pressure since the bottom is the only thing really holding it all in (common).

W is a Schwintec slide and will not close as tightly. The slide motors sense resistance and will cut of when it feels it has "sealed", not keep pulling it in.
