50 cent repair VS $115 plus tax dealer part

I changed the fuel filter for my 2013 Solera. I barely touched the drain hose plastic locking clip and it fell apart. I called the dealer to buy just the lock clip for the drain hose. They only sell the complete hose.
The drain hose is perfectly fine. If I replace the complete hose, I would have the same problem again when I change the fuel filter at every 20000 miles.
I went to a local hardware store to buy a metal spring locking clip for 50 cents. Put it on and test ran the RV. it works fine and will be re-useable.

Good deal. Others will appreciate this when theirs break.
