AC while driving?

Still shopping, this may be a stupid question but I was wondering...if you're driving in Arizona with 110 degree heat....do you think the dash AC is enough or do you crank up the generator to cool the whole camper?

I have been driving in near 100 degree heat and chassis unit has worked well.
If you need more crank up the generator.

I'm with Mikegjax, I've driven in 100+ heat and the dash AC was all I needed.

Driving back from Zion last year, it was over 110 for several hours. No discomfort whatsoever with the dash AC. I think it is actually more effective than the roof unit.

And you can always close the divider curtain (model dependent) between the living area and bathroom/bedroom while driving if the dash isn't cutting it. Same goes for heat in the winter I'm guessing.
