Apologizes to Forest River, BClemens & Anyone Who Read My Previous Post

In my previous post I thought I had a paint issue with our Solera. As mentioned, the paint on the plastic trim appeared to be peeling off. Well after further research (or maybe investigation is a better word), I found out that my 9 year old next door neighbor or one of his four friends may have hit the door with there bicycle.

Today I took our Solera to a local body shop to get their opinion. After looking at the damaged area, they agreed that it wasn’t a peeling issue but in fact looked like it had been hit or scraped. I can’t say for certain who did damage, just that it isn’t a paint failure from Forest River. I wouldn’t expect Forest River to pay for damage that wasn’t their fault. I’ll have to pay out of pocket which is okay.

The sad part of this incident is how small my problem is. After talking to boy’s mother, I found out the last year has been especially rough on this 9-year-old boy. She’s was diagnosed with stage three-lung cancer last year and two weeks ago his father died suddenly. She is a single mother as they were divorced 3 years ago.

In closing, I want to apologize to anyone I may have offended especially BClemens and Forest River. Hopefully in the future I won’t go off half-cocked and will look at the bigger picture. Life’s short, don’t sweat the small stuff and enjoy every day you have!

Thanks for posting this. Sometimes things look to be one thing and turns out to be something else.

Ditto about not sweating the small stuff.

Kudos too. That is quite right of you. Maybe something can be done to help the mother and son. Get them on one of those crowd funding sites.

A quick "splash" of what America used to look like! If only we could see more of this type of accountability in our fellow citizens. Congrats and all the best to you, SIR!
