Back-up Camera Monitor will not hold settings

Our monitor displays “backwards” (showing cars on wrong side of 2 lane highway. We have to repeatedly hit “M” to get the view to reverse and a bump in the road or turning off the engine and restarting makes have to reset it again because the settings don’t hold. Any fix that you know of to avoid the picture flipping like this?

You might try resetting the control box by disconnecting it for 30 seconds. The control box for mine is behind a small dash panel just above the fuse box. One torx screw holds the cover on and is easily removed. While having access I would check the monitor and camera connections.
