Batteries

Want to use battery tender on my 2008 Sprinter Solera 24S while in storage. I am assuming this would be connected to the starter battery in the foot well. What is proper process for hooking up? I have removed coach batteries for inside storage.

Yes, just connect the maintainer to the chassis batteries.

In the engine compartment are two posts for connecting cables/charger to the chassis battery. Ground post (-) on the driver side fender wall and red positive post (+) on the engine. The red cover pushes back to expose the positive post.

There is also a nice flat area to set the battery tender.

Good info, thanks! Gotta look in that footwell again - I didn't see anything the first time around. Thinking they don't want us peons messing with it!

The Battery tender should come with a short battery connection cable with a connector on one end. You can permanently leave this connected and just run the connector our of the battery box and connect the tender to it as needed. Be sure to connect the battery tender to a separate power source, not the AC in the unit as that will require the converter to to be powered up.
