Brake Controller Wiring

I have a 2009 Solera; I'm making arrangements to purchase a tow dolly with electric brakes. I'd like to find out if adding a brake controller is plug-and-play with the correct cable? Or will I have to run a separate wire back to the 7 pole connector by the hitch?

Usually if you have a 7 pole at the rear this means you have a factory wire job and should be plug and play. I am a little confused you have a different vehicle that you want to tow the Solara with right???
