Buying a new Solera

Hello All,
I'm considering a new Solera and would like the new lower profile 2014 that BClemens has talked about here. Does anyone know the serial number break that the 2014 models started with the new design? I am under the assumption that early 2014 models included the 2013 chassis. Thank You.

PS I wish CaseIH had a website that factory reps monitored so I could give feedback on combines and tractors!

I really doubt if anyone other than BClemens can answer this, sorry.

DSF026730 (our serial number) was officially the start of the new build. However, confirm the new cap visually if its close. We had to go back and build a few retails on the older style. Just in case one of those retails backed out there may be one lingering (just to be safe)

I'd be more than happy to give feedback on combines and tractors....just not sure how useful it would be. My Amish resources are not big on machinery.

BC, are you saying that 2014 chassis are used on the serial number you posted and those forward?

No, I'm saying that the new wider, shorter build begins with that serial number. Chassis model year does not play into that.

The chassis VIN will always dictate that. Position 10 on the chassis VIN is "Model Year Encoding" D is 2013. E is 2014

Thanks BC. I bought a Tennesse Walker this spring to start my attempt at a hobbie other than farming. If I continue to have trouble with the accelerator and brakes on him I might need help from your "resources."
