Cab weather strip pulling out

My 2014 Solera 24R has a problem with the weather striping that is painted to match the body paint pulling out in the corner above both the driver door and the passenger door. See the pictures for what I am talking about. Any idea on how to fix? I was thinking of heating with a hair dryer to soften it up. I can't adjust from either end as it will be too short and throw off the paint lines.

I think all of the MBS units have the same weather strip. I bought my 2016 Sunseeker 2400R used and it has a screw holding that piece right where yours has pulled away. There is another thread on this issue somewhere. I don’t know wether the factory knew about the problem and fixed it with a simple screw or the prior owner of mine did it.

I have used a heat gun on mine, stretched it out and let cool before putting back in place. Works well. Might have to redo in a year or to, but works every time.

Go to auto parts store and buy some trim adhesive. Yellow stuff with the nickname of monkey snot. A weatherproof silicone adhesive will also work. Put some in when you fix the trim. Should keep it in place.

Stretched mine a little with heat and pushed back into track. The secured with 2 stainless steel screws around the bend with the heads painted to match ( luckily that section around the bend is black). Repair has been holding well for over a year.

I did the heat up but put silicone in back and used two stainless screws.

My 2016 Sunseeker did this and the whole piece ended up flopping in the wind. I bought a close color match to the lightest color of my full body paint and replaced it. We first tried repositioning it but it was really out of line. Buy a marine product as we've had no problem with shrinkage since replacing it. Got ours from eBay.

You have the same color scheme as mine. Paint over plastic and vinyl trim is an issue. Vinyl outgases and shrinks, especially when used on an inside radius. The paint will eventually fall off.
I got mine stretched back in, then used 2 aluminum screws on each radius to hold it in place. You can find different colors of these screws, which are made for installing home trim/siding.
You might need to remove the screw at the bottom of the trim and slide the strip upwards to get it back in the radius. Of course, you then have to realign the paint stripes on the strip.
If this happens again, I'll just get a roll of black trim and pop new strips in. I think the black would look good, anyway.
