I have a 2012 Solera. I install a CB. Where can I install the antenna or 2 antennas.
On the roof or on the side....for the roof, in front of the curtain slide bar, upper bed; or rear of the side window, upper bed. But I dont know if any wire in the way....or frame....or tv-radio cable....
ngp or regular antenna....
my CB is a Galaxy 959 model
Aside from the wiring for the running lights I won't think there'd be any wiring to worry about in the overhead. I'd carefully drill a hole through the siding where the ant. is going to be mounted then try to look inside for any wiring then go from there. Are you planning to feed it up through the wall?
Simplest solution would be an NGP thru-the-glass antenna on one of the side windows in the cabover. Then run the coax down behind bulkhead and under mat to wherever you mount the receiver. Alternatively, Comet makes an antenna mount which is adjustable in three axis and could be lip mounted on the hood lip, then run coax through firewall.
