CO warning

We have a 2015 Solera 24R. After having it parked in the driveway for about 3 days, the CO warning started beeping, one beep about every 30 seconds. After opening the door for a few minutes, it went off. Is this something I need to be alarmed about? We had just had some work done on it that involved disconnecting the propane to the cooktop/oven.

I had that issue. Turned out battery compartment located inside step wasn't sealed well. I bought rubber weather stripping and now compartment seals better and beeping seemed to stop.

Normal warning cycles much faster than every 30 seconds. Are you sure it is not the smoke detector on the ceiling? Could be the low battery alert on the smoke detector.

On our 2016 MBS a 2401R the CO/LP detector will flash alt red-green and beep every 30 secs. for malfunction, flash red red green green and beep every 20-30 seconds for unit end of life. Suggest checking the smoke detector for a single beep every 30 seconds since it doesn't match these.

My question: what does an occasional red flash on the smoke detector mean? It is not a low battery signal which is a chirp about once per minute. Also, our Family Guard FG250A has a test/silence button which we had to use to shut it off when breaking in the furnace due to fumes. Once silenced, how/when does it reset? (Hoping it doesn't stay silenced or require re-activation! Thinking it must have a time-out cycle. But nothing in the instructions about this.)

Some research on the First Alert site, and I found this...

"This button is also used to silence unwanted or nuisance alarms and reset the Latching feature. The alarm will be silenced for about 10 minutes. The alarm can be re-tested while in silence mode by pushing the test/silence button."

Looks like the answer is 10 minutes.

Thanks! It did go off again sine my post, when we first used the convection oven (lots of unexpected fumey smoke from that!) so it is sure working.

We also discovered that the cover on our outside stove vent (hood) was 'snapped' shut and that I had to manually open it or nothing was getting vented to the outside. It's made differently than what we had on the Class A before downsizing. I like the fact that it locks shut, but just have to remember to open it!

Absolutely - get it on the open up list to avoid killing yourself with fumes. Also the shut down list or it will bang around while driving.

Woodall's has an excellent checklist which I think includes that. I plan to reorganize that list into "inside" and "outside" activities to reducing the running in and out of the coach, and will post it when done.
