To each his own...but a few notes...

2. That's not wood flooring. That is vinyl flooring with a woodgrain print.
3. That is freshwater including water heater...so really 44 gallons of fresh. Which also happens to be 367 lbs. You'l find most people don't travel with full water due to weight.
4. What is an "upgrade AC fridge"? We all use LP/Electric fridge.
5. Not wider...just longer (but the coach is 25' compared to 24'6" as well)
6. that is nice

Another thing to remember if you're comparing apples to apples. most dealers quote the Solera with the SE package. The Prism LE is a stripped down version. The Solera SE is an upgraded version and will have...
-Glass LED lighting throughout (not plastic).
-Frameless windows
-Fiberglass Front cap
-Fiberglass roof
-Gas AND Electric water heater (Prism is gas only)
-Soft touch ceilings
-woodgrain dash
-hidden hinges
-raised panel cabinets in wall AND base cabinets
-GPS navigation
-drawers in the dinette. Prism you have to lift up the seat cushions.

There may be more...but that's what I can remember off the top of my head.

Just so you know...RV Direct is not my dealer. So I have no skin in this game. Just want to make sure you are fully educated. In the end...you typically get what you pay for.

Larger FW tank, Larger Propane tank, extra 6" length, outside entertainment center - looks like added weight to me, and with my big butt i'd be over gross weight once I climbed in. I'm wondering if there are other areas where they may have cheapened the Prism. As you say, compare Apples and Apples. We do have the SE edition Solera. Hope the OP will get a chance to physically do a walk-thru of both before he makes up his mind... I'd hate to be the one who tries to save $2K, then find out it's worth a whole lot less!

Lippert owns everybody else. (not in jest). If a supplier comes up with something new...they buy the company.

Between Thor, Forester River and Lippert. That probably 90% of all suppliers and builders.

I'll let the facts speak for themselves. No need for me to put down the competition.

The LE doesn't list those on that spec sheet. Dealer may buy it that way, but its not listed on the specs.

As for the water heater that is Gas/E.I Which means Gas with Electric Ignitor. Not actually an electric water heater.

The Solera is DUAL gas element (EI) and an electric heating element. So that when you are at a camp site you use the sites electricity to heat the tank and not just propane. Or you use both gas and electric to increase the recovery rate.

Should say "Gas/Electric EI water heater. Not just "Gas EI" water heater.

Unless the unit you are looking at is already built and has the diesel generator-you won't be getting one. Onan discontinued the generator that is listed in the brochure. From what I read a new supplier for the forest river conglomerate hasn't been found.

We stopped using the diesel due to quality issues...which is why they relocated the plant from what I understand.

Roof is fiberglass. We're working on a U-shape model, but it will be a few months.
