I now have a Solera but had a Sprinter van conversion for seven, yes 7 years before that with a Nature's Head composting toilet. We only had to dump it about every 80 - 90 days of use, so most years, only once per year because, yes, it actually does compost. There was no smell. The design of the toilet easily separates liquids from solids for both men and women as long as they sit down. When you don't use water to flush, your tank lasts almost twice as long - like having twice as much fresh water without having to carry it.
