2014 Forest River Solera 24R
new here..not new to forums and Rv'ing
Just wanted to say hello to all. Been Rv’ing for 18 years, mostly travel trailers though. This is my 1st motor home. Im bought a high mileage (91,000 miles)2014 Forest river solera 24r. I bought this at a nice discount due to this IMO. My intentions are to Delete it asap for "OFF ROAD USE ONLY". This means replacing the exhaust system including the DPF and disabling the EGR, ADblue system, swirl valves etc. I know Emission systems cause havoc on diesels. I currently own a 2005 GMC with a duramax in it that’s completely deleted that i use "OFF ROAD ONLY", custum tuned with compound turbos, built trans, airdog etc and its been rock solid ever since I deleted it.
I plan on buying this system from rawtek if it will fit

Then I plan on sending my pcm/ecu or whatever its called in MBS here for the bench flash/tune. I was going to get their stage 1 tune to up the HP/TQ a little but since I Will be at max GVWR and tow capacity with a toad I will rock it stock so I don’t run the EGTS up to high.

I just want a reliable rig that’s not going to leave me stranded with my family and dogs on the side of the "off road trail" because of a plugged DPF or an EGR valve that’s stuck. BTDT.
So my questions are:
Have any of you guys done this and what route have you taken?
Your experiences?
Any links or contacts to the companies or suppliers you’ve dealt with?
Did you do this yourselves? (I plan to)
Anyone have an EDGE CTS2 installed to monitor engine vitals? Any pics?
Of course I have a ton more questions about extend- a -stays which I seen videos on but this install looks to be a bit more difficult than the average one. Due to the hard gas line being right up against the LP outlet valve in this rig.
Changing the LP generator out for a diesel one someday is on my to do list.
Possibility of up grading to a 20 gallon LP tank instead of the 10 gallon one. Etc etc. Lots to do so the fun can begin!
Anyways..sorry for the long post. I just wanted to say Thanks for this great forum and thanks in advance to its great members. This Is a valuable resource and I look forward to contributing one day.
