Entry Door gas prop

One end of our gas prop has a crack and I need to replace it. Do any of you know the recommended force I should get? The part number yielded no help in a google search. 448847 0050N 134/13 B 5

I know it's a 20" full length 12" compressed. Just want a similar opening force as this one seems just about perfect.

The one on my GTown is 15lb and is the same size as you described. You can get just the ends though. I replaced one on the end of my prop.

Hmm, do the ends twist off? Where did you find ends? That might be so cool.

You can also check with an auto parts store, they usually have some in the trash that you can remove the end off of. M6 thread 10mm ball socket.

I'm going to replace mine with one of lesser force. I don't know why you'd need more the 10 lbs. Mine throws the door open too rapidly.

These things are cheap so wouldn't bother replacing ends.

The MBS chassis comes with a 20# and I replaced with a 10#.
The ends twist off. You will find that many vendors sell their props with
ends too big that do not allow enough clearance with the MBS unit.
